08_The Way Day 5

Today, our hike to Rua looks to be our longest day yet. *Edit… Ended at 13.5 miles.

Should’ve gotten a picture of him but that leg you see on the left belongs to Edis from Denmark. That is a blind man’s cane he is holding and he started in France on July 16th and has walked the entire French Way alone.

Each day we get closer, the more populated it gets. I hear the ones who started in France complaining about it a lot. When you start up there, they say you can go days without seeing anyone on the trail. Only complaint I would make is that many are biking it now and a constant train of bikes is annoying in that you spend less time hiking and contemplating and more time spent getting out of their way.
